Fruit and Nut
|The Future is Trees|
Information for Landowners
Landowners interested in leasing land for a Future is Trees project must be able to show proof of title
The land must be available for lease within the next 2-3 years.
The period of lease must be a minimum of 50 years (this is standard practice for leases involving land being used for woodland).
The land must not to subject to an on-going ownership, boundary, right-of-way or other disputes.
Serious enquiries only please!
We do not require the land to be stockproof at the commencement of the lease period but it will be an essential requirement once the tree planting begins. We are prepared to finance and carry out all necessary fencing work.
The annual rent will be set by mutual agreement. We would expect the rent to be broadly in line with the rent payable for grazing land of the same standard.
The terms of the lease will be enshrined in a legal-binding contract (which can include specific exit clauses) as agreed by both parties. The contract will include a map clearly depicting the site boundary.
All enquiries will be treated with complete confidentiality.
Enquiries should be addressed to the Projects Coordinator, Andy Wilson.
